Robb Wolf's podcast episode 192 with Jim Laird is a much needed reminder for me. If you will recall from my post New Amazements After Ten Days Off, rest is not a big part of my daily life, but I rested on the Alaskan cruise with my family. Boy did I rest – sleeping through the night and taking naps. Beyond refreshing.
Upon returning home, though, I jumped back into my old go-go-go pattern and my sleep began to suffer. I was playing podcast catch-up and the interview with Jim Laird resonated deeply with me and reminded me that I need to slow down EVERY SINGLE DAY. I am not sure what that will look like. Maybe meditation? Maybe a nap? Maybe meditation that turns into a nap? I used to fear naps because I thought I would have a hard time sleeping at night, but the cruise showed me otherwise. Maybe a craft? It is going to be fun choosing. Paleo MD – any suggestions?
What do you do to slow down? If you don’t, take a listen to Robb’s podcast.
