I learned about some these report through Dr. Mercola's site, but his links seem to place the report installments slightly out of order. Even so, the five reports (and about 12 minutes of viewing time) are fantastic and don’t need to be viewed in order. Maybe mainstream news coverage with MDs telling people to eat Paleo will be what helps the sick and “food is medicine”-resistant people take responsibility for and control of their health.
Dr. Loren Cordain, who kicked the Paleo movement off, is featured in one of the segments. According to Robb Wolf’s latest podcast (#105), Dr. Cordain believes that if people gave up gluten the average lifespan would increase from 75 to 85, and if they went Paleo it would increase to 95. Twenty more years of life in exchange for not eating junk. And chances will be good that most of those years will be vibrant. Amazing how that scares people.
I am going to try to get a friend who is facing immediate and deadly consequences of lousy food to listen to the CBS reports. Maybe now that CBS is reporting the amazing news of Paleo my friend will get it.
Here are a couple of more critical reports.
CBS ought to win an award for this series.
Finally, not everyone is going to get it and I used to agonize over the fact that people are being left behind. Not anymore, thanks to Robb Wolf. I really enjoy Robb because he tells it like it is. Thanks to him I no longer invest so much emotion into sick people who are wedded to being food and pharmaceutical victims. Robb claims that 25 percent of people are “[insert f-bomb] idiots” and he has given up on them. I have written about my similar frustrations in a much more politically correct manner, and after some time to process my frustrations and lack of willingness to give up, I am now where Robb is and I feel better.
