Bone Broth Part 2 I no longer bring broth to a full boil. I let it rise to a simmer and then simmer for eight to 24 hours. I rarely simmer over 16 hours. I also now cook it in a large covered Visions glass pot on the stove to reduce contaminants from the crock pot. The broth does not cook down much when using a Visions glass pot.
Kefir 101 Video We no longer make kefir ahead of time and refrigerate, as cold beverages inhibit digestion. We also no longer use honey in our smoothies - banana is sweetener enough for us.

Yes! How many berries can I fit into my belly? If I could stop eating them long enough I would actually make this pie: Raw Blueberry Pie – YUM!
If the paleo doc is reading, I am going to convert to macadamia nuts, but I need to wade through all of those almonds first. Macadamias v. almonds is a whole other blog post that will be written shortly thanks to the doc. Just when you think you have something pretty under control…here comes a new fact, a new source, and more change and growth.
For a little more information on blues read: It’s Blueberry Season! I would love to know if anyone has some insights as related to this story. Blueberries don’t have B6, which I wondered about in that post, but according to the Fab Fit Squad’s post Feeling Sluggish? Try Blueberries, they do boost energy. This article explains a little more on increased energy: What do Wine, Peanuts, Blueberries and Chocolate Have in Common? That would explain a lot in relation to Colson’s and my energy levels.
Enjoy the berry season!

This is very similar to a treat I make with macadamias and papaya in lieu of almonds and bananas. Anything with frozen blueberries is tops on my list! Add some English clotted cream (Harris Teeter, Fresh Market and Whole foods carry this nectar from the UK) for a nice insulin tempering fatty topping...

Oriental Health Solutions The practitioners at Oriental Health Solutions (OHS) have helped my family and many of my friends and acquaintances when no one else could. All of us tried conventional western medicine first and ultimately ended up at OHS for our solutions.
