The other day I received a comment on this blog post WAP Conference – Nick Gonzalez, MD and Cancer from Montye, and with her permission I have reprinted it below:
Thank you for posting on your day with Dr. Gonzalez... I am a patient of his and could not be more grateful for this miracle man. I have synovial sarcoma and was given a year to live... it has been six months since I started Dr. Gonzalez program and I am doing wonderful... healthier than ever and my cancer numbers are dropping. He is a Godsend! Montye www.allthisandmore.typepad.com [this is Montye’s blog and definitely worth taking the time to read]
Since reading Montye’s comment and her blog (from beginning to end), I have been thinking about her quite a lot. She is an inspiring person, rejecting the standard western medicine prognosis and treatment in favor of an actual solution with a track record of success. I don’t want to say more because my words won’t do her journey justice.
When I tell people of successes such as Montye’s they often respond with something to the effect of: if the treatment is successful, why isn’t it a standard treatment? Why don’t more doctors recommend it? I don’t know. My best guess is that much of our society (and our world population for that matter) have become automatons, blindly following the prescribed industry “treatments” that not only don’t work but also hasten the patient’s demise.
I am sadly baffled when people reject possibilities for life when faced with death. My mother-in-law, deceased for almost a year, is one example. She was a nurse suffering from pancreatic cancer, and she could only understand and accept the standard approach of chemotherapy and radiation. When told by her doctors there was nothing more to be done and she should prepare to die, after she was ravaged by their treatments for almost a year, I almost had her convinced to go to Dr. Gonzalez. She just couldn’t take that next step. She just couldn’t shake off the death decree of her cancer doctors. And it wasn’t even the pancreatic cancer that killed her. It was internal bleeding thanks to the treatments from her doctors.
If you are having a health problem that is plaguing you and you are unhappy with the way you or your doctor is treating it, you may want to consider visiting Montye’s blog, All This and More, for some inspiration. Montye works hard for her success, and it is paying off. Thank goodness for Dr. Gonzalez and his brilliance and bravery.
As for me, I am going to continue to follow Montye’s journey, appreciate her grace and strength, and send prayers for her continued success.
Thank you Laura for the kind post and again for featuring Dr. Gonzalez. Hope you have a wonderful New Year :o)

Laura,
I read something about Dr. Gonzalez and thought of this woman Montye since I read about her on your blog in 2010. So sad, I googled her name and found out she passed away last year. http://www.tributes.com/show/Montye-Teresa-Gardner-91823021
Wow, I'm about to cry thinking about her husband and girls. She lived a beautiful life.

Thank you, Erin. I was googling her a few weeks ago and didn't find that. I tried emailing her and it bounced. I was very worried, and now I am so sad. She was wonderful. Thank you for letting me know.
