I discussed how delicious and healthy sauerkraut is on
this post: http://movingstronglyforward.typepad.com/moving_strongly_forward/2009/02/lentil-soup-and-sauerkraut-combined-yum-and-crazy-healthy-too.html
I explained how to make it on this post: http://movingstronglyforward.typepad.com/moving_strongly_forward/2008/11/sauerkraut-yes-it-can-be-yummy.html
Now for the video and a couple of notes. Enjoy!
1.
Use organic veggies when possible
2.
I used one large head of green cabbage for
this video. You can use other kinds
3.
Be sure to use carrots because they add
iodine
4.
Use sea salt
5.
Use filtered water
6.
Take your rings off, even though I forgot
in the video. Unfriendly bacteria can be hiding in or under your rings and be
released into the juices. The kraut will be fine even though I wore my ring,
but I try to remember to take it off.
Hi Laura,
I am so grateful for this series of videos - I just planted tons of cabbage a week or so ago and the seeds have already sprouted...I will be making sauerkraut very soon thanks to you and I can't wait.
thanks for sharing your knowledge!
