We used apple cider vinegar on my daughter's foot. She had about 3 or 4 different spots with plantars. We would dip a cotton ball in acv, and tape it to her foot with bandages overnight for many nights in a row. Just like you described with clay, we watched them turn black and die. Luckily they have not come back. But I think if you're prone to warts, you can expect more in the future. I've had them on and off in my life. My husband never ever got one.
