Getting Sucked in to Brilliant People’s Blogs

Thanks, doc, for helping me to learn, heal, excel, explore, excel (I know, that is a repeat). Because of you I have found more great information from other docs and scientists. This is especially useful now because I am trying to save a couple of lives and the more docs and scientists I throw at them, the better.

Who has caught my eye today? Dr. Emily Deans of Evolutionary Psychiatry. Dr. Deans is pumping out great information and is always worth the read, but the last few articles have been especially fascinating.

Down the rabbit hole I went from her blog to others. Check out Dr. Steve Parker’s Paleo Diabetic. Anyone in my diabetic family reading???

I don’t know how I will have time to read all of this great info, but I will shuffle priorities and make it happen. I want to be mountain climbing, vibrant 80+ year old with Ryan, my husband, by my side, and we will both be keeping up with our 50+ year old son, Colson and the three kids he is planning to have. (Colson is now 8, so there are many more adventures to be had before reach this stage.) Ryan is on board with the food plan 98%, which is phenomenal. I need to keep feeding him new info, though, so that he isn’t tempted to backslide.

I am the food and health lead and Ryan leads in other areas. With so much happening in our lives, we need a divide and conquer information strategy. As Ryan lovingly reminds me, he listens to all of my highlights and I need to be more patient about listening to his, which are equally important and valid. They just are not as immediately impactful as, say, that peanut butter cookie that Ryan ate the other day that immediately kicked him in the butt. Where is that blog post, husband?

So much to do, so much to learn and so much fun doing it!
