I can't have alcohol, in general. But I found a trick, so to speak. I pour myself just a little bit - a few sips. Then I sip it slowly, and follow with a lot of food or water. This way, I still enjoy the taste quite a lot - I focus on the little I do have in my mouth - but without any ill effect.

Thanks for sharing the red wine experience. I love red wine but have found I can have about 2 oz (really a couple of tastes) otherwise the sluggish and fuzzies occur. Can still feel the effects this morning after the 2 (small) glasses that I had at the Halloween party on Saturday.
On another topic, how are you and the family doing without milk? It seems like you were a big fan of raw milk...what is that status of that topic these days! Thanks for the info!

Thanks for the comments, ladies! Glad to know I am not alone.
Donna - regarding milk, I have a post scheduled for Thursday on that. It is now full on disgusting to my palate. I am hoping a really knowledgeable friend will reply to the post on Thursday.
