I like to fast for 24 hours if I start feeling under the weather. I just skip breakfast and lunch. It's only difficult for the last few hours, unless I am really sick (then it's easy to fast).
I like to break the fast with something like apples or tomatoes - acidic veggies or fruits, high on fiber. In a few minutes after this snack, a hearty meal can follow.
