I am amazed at how I got off track with my GAPS-ish/healthy eating. I have a great recipe for nutballs that are super yummy. Hey, they are GAPS friendly. I can eat a lot of them! Then there was the new cookie that I morphed from a friend's recipe. OH MY GOSH! So delicious - raw and baked. Yep - it is GAPS friendly, so I can eat lots of those too.
A few more items to consider. I make all this amazing food. I prepare lunch for Ryan. It all tastes good. I nibble here and there.
And then there are the nut cookies for later.
I have no food cravings, but I eat them anyway because they taste good!
Nine pounds later, nine pounds past my "I will not weigh more than 130 pounds when I am not pregnant" weight limit, I tipped the scale at 139!!! Crimeny! Geez! And may other words I won't type.
So I cut the nuts and snacking out and quickly dropped five pounds in just over a week.
Then a new round of people were considering the GAPS diet and they were thinking about the deprivation they would face. My response to help them get started: "Oh, no, there is no deprivation - let me make you some nut cookies!" What a loaded gun! Following GAPS and eating the cookies in moderation is totally fine, but they can sneak up and ambush the unsuspecting. Clearly I was too cavalier about my supposed mastery of food.
So, to my new GAPS friends, I will post the recipes later today, but BE WARNED. That "too much of anything" saying is true!
I am SO ready for this recipe!!! I bought my ingredients! Just need the "know how"! <3

I hear you on having too many nuts! This week I have decided not to have any peanut butter! My tum tum's been poking out since winter-time (and no I'm NOT pregnant again!!!). It's time to get moving and spend less time snacking. Even us real food lovers have to watch it!
