I have been blogging about Food for over a year, but
today water is worth a moment. Bottled water in particular. Bottled water has
incredible health problems associated with it. Bisphenol-A (BPA) is the most notable
cause. Bottle water is just plain terrible for you, and I consider it a potential killer.
In addition to hurting us as a species it is helping to
destroy the planet. If people don’t stop drinking it to save themselves, please stop to
save the children and grandchildren.

Water Bottle Lie and Your Health.
Here is a sneak peak: Exposure to BPA has been linked to
breast and prostate cancer, reproductive failures, heart disease, cognitive and
behavioral problems, diabetes, obesity and asthma. A study commissioned by the
Centers for Disease Control in 2007 showed that 93 percent of Americans have
BPA in their urine. More recent studies are even scarier suggesting that BPA
stays in the body longer than previously believed and that babies and young
children may be particularly vulnerable because they may metabolize BPA more
slowly than adults. Furthermore, in a study commissioned by the Environmental
Working Group this past December, scientists found the chemical in nine of 10
randomly selected samples of umbilical cord blood.
What can you use instead? There are a couple of options.
We choose the Nalgene bottle, which is BPA-free and affordable: Welcome to NALGENE
Outdoor! You can purchase Nalgene’s at any outdoors store. Friends of mine
choose the Klean Kanteen, which is more costly: Klean Kanteen: the
Original BPA-free, Stainless Steel Bottle.
Water is the best for me, it is never called the "Universal Solvent" for nothing! We can live longer without food and only water by our side.
