It is amazing how little some first graders know about
food. Check out this video with Jamie Oliver, the Naked Chef: Tomato Sneak 3-26 - Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution. These kids can’t identify
tomatoes or other common veggies. Frightening! If parents do not have the time
or location to grow their own food, try purchasing from the local Farmers Market
so that kids can see that people actually grow this stuff, they can ask
questions, and they can learn about what they are eating.
