Upon arriving home, I put together a hamburger sample
plate for Tibbles, Colson’s hamster. With Tibby having been fed only organic
foods, I thought he had developed a discerning palate and would choose the organic,
free range hamburger we had for dinner instead of the McDonalds burger. Ryan
said Tibby would eat anything, and Colson said he would eat a little of both.

I don’t put much stock in this video as it
relates to Tibby, because I could have presented the food better - the turning
of the plate might have biased him. It was fun nonetheless, and Colson had his
first taste of what over ¼ of American adults eat every day according to CBS
News.
An October 2009 study offers some insight
into people’s food choices (based on the work of Tibby’s cousins, the rats): Junk
food turns rats into addicts.

with Dr. David Kessler, former commissioner of the Food and Drug
Administration. He explains to you how the providers of junk food have taken
control of your health and your brain. The
