I have written about detox periodically because Ryan and
I experience it in different ways here and there thanks to the healing that we
have accomplished. Ryan has just completed a seven month, that’s right, a SEVEN
month detox. It developed as a rash under his arms, and it never went away. It
grew, changed color, shrank, hurt, didn’t hurt, you name it. It was almost a
separate living being.
This wasn’t a detox that he purposefully pursued, but a
detox that naturally occurred as he healed his body. It was quite confounding
and a bit concerning until our Doctor of Oriental Medicine explained it to us. I
wish we had the funds to have it scientifically analyzed. Could it have been
the nicotine from the chewing tobacco of his youth? Could it have been the
heavy metals and other toxins from the immunizations he received as a child and
the second set that he received when he joined the army? How about the toxins
that we are all exposed to that accumulate in us? I am sure it would have been
a trip to know.
I used to think that a person needed to purposefully
pursue detox, but our Dr. of Oriental Medicine told us to be patient because it
will naturally occur when eating healthy food. Was he ever right! And I am sure
it will continue to periodically occur as our health continues to improve because
there is a lifetime of toxin to release.
