I
received an email today from Ken Morehead, my Dr. of Oriental Medicine. He
partners with Dr. Stocks, whom I am seeing next week for the ultrasound. My
thermography results are a 3 (Equivocal, 1 Thermal Factor Present), on a scale
of 1 to 5. I did not know what that means, so I asked Ken. Here is what Ken said about my results:
TH-3
isn't scary though it IS an opportunity to do some preventive work. Once Ryan
handles all the stress of figuring out which job offer to accept [Ryan was laid
off 1.5 weeks ago], then we can schedule some treatments and lab testing to
handle this. Right now all we know is that it's there, and what do about it
can't be known without testing - though acupuncture can be helpful in
reducing/eliminating it quite often.
Ken is an incredibly generous person. The
amount of guidance my family receives is above and beyond, and our gratefulness
is immeasurable.
Amazingly, I called Dr. Motyka, my OB/GYN, to
schedule an appointment immediately after the ultrasound. It usually takes
weeks to get scheduled with her, but right before I called someone cancelled,
leaving me an opening on the last day that I will have health insurance
coverage. Now I will be able to get the tests done. You have to love how the universe
works!
Ryan’s job hunt seems to be going well. Three
great interviews in three days. One company wants to fill the position by the
end of May, another by mid-June, and the third is contract work. There will be
call back interviews, and Ryan is feeling positive!
We are Moving Strongly Forward!!!
I recently read that you may want to think twice about having tests done right before health coverage runs out. If anything shows up in those results, god forbid, that could make getting subsequent coverage for treatment difficult or even impossible. If it's not urgent, you might want to wait until the next coverage kicks in and with so many potential job interviews, that may be quick. Just a thought...

You go girl! Keep up the good work! I'm going through my own journey to health so I know what you're going through. I have my fingers crossed for Ryan!

Thank you for the support!
Regarding having tests done before loss of health insurance, in this case I am not worried for two reasons. First, more information is good information for me. Second, my Dr. of Oriental Medicine has my back if I really need him. The test results will help him treat me.
Please keep sending the good thoughts to Ryan!
